If anybody out there is planning a trip to China, I'd be happy to help with your itinerary. It's what I do for a living actually, so I am quite good at it. I won't charge, I'm just happy to help.

That's cool, Shangguan!

I want to start a little "greeters network" like this: http://www.travelpod.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26441

Maybe you could help out.

I am going to go to China on my RTW trip. My list of cities included: Shanghai -> Beijing -> Datong -> Xi'an -> Chongqing and Yichang river cruise -> Guangzhou -> Hong Kong/Macao -> Guilin -> Yangshuo

Any comments on those cities other than I have read in guide books? I am looking at that taking about 3-4 weeks.

That's so nice from you Thank you in advance.

I am doing this itenerry and want your comments. The cities are ordered in sequence.

Chengdu(nights spent unknown yet)->Luding->Kangding (1st night)->Tagong->Danba (2nd night)->Xinduqiao (3rd night)->Litang->Xiangcheng (4th night)->Yading (5th night)->Daocheng (6th night)-> The Shangerila (7th night)->Lijiang (8th night)

I am planning to spend of 8 days at these cities except for Chengdu not known yet.

Is the days spent enough or need to extend some days at some cities ?
I am traveling in group in July, is July a good month to travel to these cities?

Thanks

8 days is rushed even you don't incorporate Chengdu in your itinerary. I check this common itinerary selling by some Chinese tour operator: Chengdu->Kangding->Xinduqiao->Yading->Daocheng->The Shangrila->Lijiang. It takes at least 8 days.

July is not so good to travel to these cities because the hot weather. April, May, June, September and October are the best time to visit these places.

Thanks.
I had changed my itinerary into 13 days and include Chengdu and do many changes I would like to share with you.
What do you know things-to-do at these cities:
Lijiang, Zhongdian, Derong, Yading, Daocheng , Yajing , Kangding, Ya'an , Moxi.
I am fan of spectacular scenery places, places you don't miss it...

Hi there. I'm so sorry, I haven't been active on the forums for about a year. I had some issues I had to deal with. I am back and would, again be more than happy to help anybody design itineraries. You can ask me here, or send me a message at the website below.

Thanks for the offer I would consider it as an option

You live in Shenzhen, I don't think you'd need help planning an itinerary in China.
