We decided that we wanted to have a base area to stay our entire 7 days to the Southwest - our first trip to that area - and did not want to pack and unpack every day at a different location - wearing us out before we even got started.

So we decided on staying at a Bed and Breakfast - our first time for that as well - and are we glad we did - we found a fantastic Bed and Breakfast in Big Water Utah - which is just on the border of Utah/Arizona - about 10 miles from Page Arizona - away from the crowds.

Our next day after arrival - we went to Zion National Park - the drive there was about two hours away and we thoroughly enjoyed looking at the scenery on the way - stayed there all day - and then came back to our home away from home and got into the outdoor hot tub and watched the stars - so romantic - next day we decided on doing things locally - did Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam Tour and the fantastic Lower Antelope Canyon - that could not even be put into words - what a find - and then came home to our home away from home - did the romantic hot tub again and next day after a wonderful breakfast - beds are perfect - soft water - who could ask for anything else - so we went then To Bryce Canyon - completely different than Zion and we think we might even have liked it better - you can take a shortcut if you have a four wheel drive vehicle through Cottonwood Canyon - which gives you a wildlife perspective of the Southwest - coyotes - deer - birds - and then came home after dinner back to the hot tub - next day was a local Colorado Float Trip - same thing at the end of the day - then next day to Grand Canyon and home again - and next day locally renting a speed boat to Rainbow Bridge - that was our favorite of everything we did on our trip. All of the parks are within a couple of hours from the central location.

Interesting, nice trip plan. You should write it up in a blog though!
