Everyone was born somewhere.

How far away are you now from the place where you were born?

I was born in Niagara Falls, 577 kms away from where I currently live.

I can't beat Judy, but I have just found out that Dublin is 190 miles from my hometown in Scotland - not that far really...if only I had a "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" style car that could do water too, so I didn't have to wait for planes or boats.....hmmm

I was born in Toronto which according to Wolfram Alpha is 12,257 km away from my current location. This is a perfect question for WA!

I heard Phoenix a lot times. A nice place.
Well, I was born in Lyons, French. Currently teaching French in a Chinese university located in Shanghai. e... far away from my hometown. angel1.gif

How far, can you figure it out? Maybe you'll beat Aopaq's distance.

According to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/dist...=333&p2=237 it is 9363 km or 5818 miles. We should start a thread about the furthest distance you've been away from home as well, that would be neat to see.
