There are two main aspects to put in your mind, if you are thinking of what to wear in Egypt, the weather and the culture. Egypt is a Muslim Country. Although it is not as strict as other Muslim countries, but still best to be modest. Especially for ladies. Try to show kind of respect for other culture.

First, the weather in Egypt is hot in general. Light cotton clothes is the best to wear in Egypt, except if you went there in winter you will need a sweater or jumper as well. But luxer and Aswan are hot. Even in the winter, temperatures are generally high during the day so you will need light cottons at any time of the year. In some months, around October March, it can get cooler in the evening and overnight, but you may need to your jumper on the boat or in the train because of the air condition may be switched on cool.

Second, the culture, for men; Normal trousers, shirts and T-shirts are fine. You can wear shorts on beaches or resorts or in Cairo or Alexandria or Luxur or Aswan, but it still preferable and more appropriate to wear full-length trousers in towns especially if you go to visit a mosque. For women, in Luxur and Aswan
