Does anybody know if there is a car ferry available that would take a car and 5 passengers from Guatemala to Belize? We think the most convenient departure point would be in Puerto Barrios but somewhere else in the Northeast corner of Guatemala on the Gulf of Honduras could work too, if it's not too hard to drive there (we're coming from El Salvador). We're just trying to avoid extra driving through Guatemala to have to go around to the western boarder of Belize to enter through San Ignacio, which seems like the only way to enter by land. I suppose something leaving from Honduras could work too if it's not too expensive (Puerto Cortés?). Does anybody know of a ferry that takes cars?
