Quite honestly I think the so-called "research" is about as accurate as me throwing darts at a board from 5 metres. The criteria which were used for each of the categories makes huge assumptions and as well the actual statistical information on which the results are based also has a set of underlying suppositions.
Using statistics for burglary, robbery and car theft as an indication of being jealous of others' possessions (envy) and ignoring the fact that many of these crimes were committed only for the money seems rather ridiculous. Also, where does lottery ticket spending factor into this? And just because a Mexican family earns less than 50% of the annual median earnings for the country, does that really mean they are Greedy????
Interesting results but pretty meaningless and irrelevant if you ask me! But one thing the researchers have achieved is for discussions such as this one to crop up online and many other places I am sure.
