Is Cambodia in late October / November viable? I know its the end of the wet season, but will be still be able to get around reasonably easily? We are not scared of hard travelling, having travelled plenty before, but have only a limited time this trip (2 1/2 - 3 weeks) to see as much as possible. I am getting mixed messages from other websites.

Thanks, kandc

G'day, as no one else has answered you, I will try.

I don't know Cambodia that well, but know Thailand and Vietnam pretty well.

It is true that the roads in Cambodia aren't as good as the other two countries, but despite that I wouldn't worry too much.

Maybe wet season will come early, maybe late, maybe on time, maybe not at all. If you try to plan around these things you will always miss out.

Added to that, wet season often just means a heavy rain storm in the afternoon for an hour. Leaving most of the day free. And helping cool the night down.

I reckon you have lots of time and whatever inconvenience the rain causes (if any) you can just make it into a adventure. GO!

well I got to Cambodia at the beginning of Dec last year and it was fine. It rained twice in the 10 days I was there and that was only for an hour at 6pm. I had been travelling in Vietnam before that and it rained every single day but then that happens in Vietnam.

Roads in Cambodia are perfectly fine now. Well on all the main routes anyway.
