Booking a hotel in Khao Lak on the internet, - can I be tricked?

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 13-March 10 Member No.: 834081	Hi! We're going to Khao Lak in June - and we want to book a hotel in Khao Lak! I see that there are many different internet sites that advertise for rooms for the hotel we want to stay at, but the cheapest option is to book from the hotel's own internet site. Are there any risk of getting tricked? Which site is safe booking from?? Thanks!!
