If anyone is heading to Doubtful Sound and wondering where to stay, here's some advice:
Don't bother going to Lake Manapouri Inn, it is overpriced, the beds are dirty, the internet and restaurant are expensive and the staff are rude. They even charged us a public holiday surcharge when it wasn't a public holiday.

Has anyone else had a bad experience there?
My recommendation: stay in Te Anau.

Thanks for that. We need these comments so more people are not disappointed in their holiday accommodations. Sorry you had such a dreadful experience.................
