Western or Eastern what? In location or culture? ;-)
Yes, the locals do! We have North, South, East and West London and they all have their own labels and stigmas!

Ha ha not quite! My mother was coping with raising her family while my dad was away, he was in the Royal Navy, doing a tour of Malaysia etc. So she was able to give birth at the Salvation Army Mother's Hospital which accommodates single mothers etc.

Absolutely not! I hate Eastenders, and to be honest none of them are real Eastenders, and it certainly is not true to life!
Just not a fan of soaps altogether I am afraid!

Born Newcastle, England. Moved to Nigeria (in the Niger Delta of all places hehe), stayed here till i was 6. Then back to Northumberland, England for the next 16 years and counting, and Singapore 1 year.

My favourite place is between Singapore and Newcastle Upon Tyne (i went to uni here for 4years). Singapore is a great place once you get over the intense weather at times, i still haven't. Newcastle is great although the weather is a problem here aswell, but you do get 4 seasons which is a plus at times.

Hello Andrew,

Welcome, and we all look forward to hearing your comments and views on our nutty forums with an Anglo-Singaporean perspective.

I have a task for you. Keep on bloggin' with your Bolivian visit in 2003. I'm a moderator for South America, and the more experiences we have from our Travelpod bloggers the better. You would be surprised how many people find our blogs useful, and we sure don't have too much about Rurrenabaque.

Cheers
Martin

Hi Martin,

There isn't any info on my Bolivia blog as of yet, because all my photos and trip details are back home on my pc. So any info i'm putting up at the moment is places i went from memory, but i'll complete the blog come august time when i get back home.

One thing i'll say to anyone going to Rurrenabaque is that finding the Mosquito Bar is a must, our group had some great nights there! (And they have some cool t-shirts you can buy next door)

Starla: I'm currently working as an Engineer for a commissioning company on a couple of the oil and gas rigs in one of the shipyards over here.

Ah yes, the oil company, one industry where it's very easy to tour the world.

You see, Andrew. You have vital information about Rurrenabaque. Nothing is more important to our bloggers than the location of the best pub in town, as long as its got beer (see our previous blog about the pub with no beer). I guess our avid readers will just have to wait until August.
