Here's a list of things to do with kids in Montreal and Quebec City, thanks to the New York Times:

Montreal:
Visit Mount Royal Park
The Insectarium (4581, rue Sherbrooke Est; 514-872-1400; www2.ville.montreal.qc.ca/insectarium),
The Biodôme de Montréal science center (4777, avenue Pierre-de Coubertin; 514-868-3000; www2.ville.montreal.qc.ca)
The amusement park Ronde (22, chemin MacDonald; 514-397-2000; www.laronde.com).
There are several day cruises in Montreal, including the Bateau-Mouche (514-849-9952; www.bateaumouche.ca), with a route around the city on the St. Lawrence River with family discounts.

Quebec City:
The Plains of Abraham park, with walking trails and river views, and a large children’s store

Benjo (550, boulevard Charest Est; 418-640-0001; www.benjo.ca), which has stations where children can create stuffed animals and make jewelry.

Musée de la Civilisation (85, rue Dalhousie; 418-643-2158; www.mcq.org), with some child-focused exhibitions, and the Terrasse Dufferin, with its street entertainers and great views over the city.

What would you add?

Haha, make sure when looking for LaRonde, you pronounce it La hhhRondhhhhhrrrr, Or the locals may act like no one has ever before asked them where this Six flags amusement park is in a city where near everyone knows english and tourists flock. No seriously. You're the first.

tongue.gif It's easy, basically it's just like saying "La Round", and everyone knows where it is (on a small island between Montréal and the suburb city of Longueuil, it's near the downtown). La Ronde was (and maybe is still) named like that before it was bought by Six Flags some 8-10 years ago, that's why everyone knows it by this name. I think you have to take the metro (yellow line) to get there, or by car of course.
