Hi Joined Yesterday

Me and my best friend Rachael are off for 3 and half months maybe. We are planning to do Singapore Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippians and Borneo and Bali more from the 16th November we are both excited and a bit nervous as we have nothing really planned only a hotel in Singapore for two nights the hopefully to KL then up through Malaysia and Thailand for charismas and new year! Some idea on what we could do would be great!

Hi Sophia, Myself & Girlfriend are doing very similar, though we start on Oct 1st - I found travelfish to be great for giving me ideas and getting me info on visas, on routes, general assurances & inspiration really - you should check it out -

We have only the loosest of plans - first 4 nights in bangkok, then probably north thailand, followed by cambodia & vietnam with no particualar plan - we will spend xmas & nyears in the thai isands and head to malaysia in jan.

Best of luck - you might get some ideas from my blog - which i'll be writing as i go along - maybe we'll see you for a glass somewhere on our trip.......

I did not enjoy Borneo &/or Malaysia as much as Thailand & found myself wishing I didn't go so I could spend more time in Thailand. Get out of Bangkok asap and go south to the islands for great beaches and fun times.
Singapore looked really good in the guide book but after going to most places I thought I'd enjoy I was disappointed, it was only good for its variety of food, the less time spent there the more time you'll have elsewhere.
