I will be returning fro Venice to Sydney next June and stopping over in Dubai for 3 nights. Does anyone have recommendations for a hotel which is comfortable/central/not too expensive?

Hi Michael,

Whether you are looking for F/B, H/B, or S/C I would receommend the Golden Sands Resorts, they are located in Bur Dubai, Friendly S/C Apartments that are very cheap, and are in easy reach of any part of Dubai.

Last year i have traveled the world and stayed at some amazing hotels but nothing compares to my experience at Al Qasr. just love this hotel. My room was spacious and well appointed. I truly felt like I was in Aladdin's castle.

Any of the above mentioned hotels offer some great deals in Summer at around the price you are looking for.

As for public transport, any hotels along Sheikh Zayed Road will be good as they are along the metro line...taxi's are super cheap and you may be better off with those if you want a hotel along the beach.

I made booking to stay at Ibis at Mall of Emirates, not too sure this is a good location. I wanted to stay close to Burj Dubai, so when i travel there it would be easier. Anyone can give me advise if this is a good place to stay in?

The Ibis is a good cheaper hotel in Dubai. Well located to Mall of the Emirates, Jumeriah Beach and about 15 minutes by taxi to Burj Khalifa (was Burj Dubai).

I have a friend that stays there often with no problems.
