Hi,

I am on the verge of booking RTW flights including three / four months in South America, starting at the beginning of January. During my travels in SA, I hope to visit the following: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru and Columbia.

Does anybody have any advice in which order to do these, and how to travel between each country? My only stipulation is being in Rio for the Carnival towards the end of February.

Is it realistic to train or bus from Rio through Bolivia, up through Peru and onto Columbia? Has anyone done anything similar? If not, what other routes can I take?

To add, I will be flying to Aukland, so need to be at a destination where this flight is made possible? I know that Chile is the obvious, however, is there alternatives?

Any similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!!
