I am spending 5 days each in ROME and PARIS. I would like to check out the local/european music scene. Can anyone recommend good music clubs in either city? I'm looking for rock clubs but would be open to hear about good electronic music too.

Anyone know of a music blog for either city? (that just so happens to be in english??)

Hey Hollygram

Tons of nightclubs in Rome are in the districts of Ostiense and Testaccio. In Ostiense the "ristodisco" is the hip thing. You can grab a bite and dance into the wee hours I figure you can likely hear a pretty good variety of music and hopefully find something you dig.

Testaccio's main drag (Via di Monte Testaccio) is full of pubs, bars, live music venues and clubs.

For Paris, around St-Germain-des-Prés church their are tons of dance clubs. Don't know much else but the Pariscope (entertainment guide) is supposed to have good listings and a section in English.
