Hello!
My husband and I are planning a 3 months trip to South America this fall. Would really appreciate some feedback on our itinerary. Does it seem realistic? Does it miss out on any important destination? Any general advices? All comments are highly appreciated.
The itinerary goes like this: -Arriving in Lima, staying a few days.
-flying to Cusco, staying at least five days. Acclimatise to the height, and visit MaccuPichu.(weŽllskip the trek and go by train.)
-Go on a jungle tour in Manu. 7-10 days. (any recommendations on which company one should go with?)
-Bus to Puno. Stay at the Titicaca lake. Spend at least one night.
-Head over to the bolivian side of the lake, then continue on to La Paz where we will spend a couple of days.
- Travel with bus to the salt desert, Salar de Uyuni where we will stay for at least 3 days. Go on a tour.Heard there Is supposed to be some tours that starts out in Salar de Uyuni and ends in San Pedro de Atacama. Sounds convenient.Does anybody know which company to choose?
-Spend a couple of days in theSan pedro de Atacama area. Recommendations? What mustnŽt one miss?
-Somehow get to Buenos aires. Any suggestions? Stay in BA for maybe a week.
- Go with a buss to the Iguatzu, spend a couple of days in the area.
-Continue with bus to Sao Paolo. Stay a few days.
-Continue on to Rio (by bus) Stay maybe a week or so.
-Fly to the bahia area. Stay a couple of weeks. DonŽt knowexactly where though, any tips? Foremost stay at nice beaches, but also explore nature, maybe go on a tour, snorkel and experience the culture, listen to the music and eat the food.
-Fly to Fortaleza. Maybe spend some time there.Bathe/see nature. Tips?
-Go to Jericoacoara stay a couple of weeks.Bathe, culture, nature, food.Tips? So, what do you think? All comments are very much appreciated. WeŽre big fans of nature and wildlife but also in culture, especially good eating:)
Are we targeting the correct destinations, What are we missing out? Should we add something, should anything be stricken. All advice regarding transportation is also very much appreciated.
Many thanks! /Evelina from Sweden
