A NZ prepaid SIM card costs $35 and comes with $15 worth of airtime. You will be able to pick up a SIM card on arrival at your NZ arrival airport from the VOdafone shop. Top ups are available in multiples of $20 and they can be obtained from any supermarket, many dairies and Vodafone shops. Checkout counters at supermarkets issue top up vouchers direct from their till so you wont have to spend time looking for them.
The SIM card will give you access to both local and International calls.
