Well, nice new feature that automatic weaving.

Nice also that you can use it or not, as usual. Good work.

I have an immense problem though: ALL my entries have been defaulted to automatic weaving. Which I do not want at all. Really.

If you have a way to automatically reset all my entries to NOT automatic weaving, it would be great, otherwise I'll have to do it 500+ times, and in the meanwhile my blogs look terrible... crying_anim.gif

Thanks in advance!

Hi Lucky. Yes the weaving is a great enhancement, but I have the same problem as peacefrog - ALL of my entries have been defaulted to automatic weaving. Would it be possible for you to reset my entries so I can change them manually? It just looks a bit messy on the entries where I have a lot of photos and a little text.

Thanks for this. Amazing to see how far travelpod has come since I set up my first blog back in early '05!!!

Just noticed it. Could you change mine as well as I don't really want to go back through 250 entries!

If you choose the option on the photo uploader to put your photos at the end of an entry then are they not woven in?

Hi,

I have tested this a few times(selecting to put photos at the end of the entry) and for me it worked just fine. The photos were weaved in. Can you tell me which of your albums that this did not happen to so I can check it out.

Thanks

Hope you guys haven't gone to any trouble, I was actually just asking, it wasn't that I had any problems. I've not tried putting them at the end yet smile.gif

Off topic, but also noticed numerous threads are out of the order they were originally posted in. This thread too actually. Seems it's all backwards where the original topic starter is now the last post rather then the first so some things don't make sense anymore. Just technical difficulties?

Hi ... been off line a while but now I'm traveling and adding new entries again. I noticed some problems with the auto weaving.

A couple things... the original post is at the bottom. I think the original question should be at the top and the replies to it in descending order, scrolling down the screen. My suggestion, set this forum up EXACTLY like the Lonely Planet Thorntree... it's easier to use and read and the screen is cleaner with less clutter. I like the e//mail notification feature you have though. Get rid of these stupid emoticons.

The auto weaving saves time and I'll probably use that from now on but I noticed in my blog that the entries where I actually took the time to weave the photo of my choice into the text now have the remaining photos hidden. Guests need to click the "View all photos" link but it isn't obvious enough in my opinion that there are more photos to look at. The reason it's an issue with my blog is that its going for 3 1/2 years now on the same trip. So the entries where I weaved the photos in myself are not consistent with the first 100 and some entries before photo weaving was invented. So all of a sudden a guest gets to where I weaved in photos manually and they see like 2 photos and that's all. Can we eliminate the need to click the "view all photos" link and put the remaining ones at the bottom or something????

Thanks

Actually we changed the order of the posts to have the most recent be the first one you see. For example if you go to a topic and it was started 5 years ago ...someone who looks at it for the first time might skip it thinking it's just too old not realizing that 20 pages farther down is the recent stuff.

We will try to at least find a way to have the post that started the topic be at the top and then everything be below it but for now we are trying this sort to see how it works out.

Cheers!

Jeff would you prefer that the old thumbnail header re-appear at the top of the entry or that the photos appear at the bottom of the entry in the specific case where you have multiple photos but have only embedded a few.

Hi Luc,

I'm with Peace on this as much of my blog has the over-complicated manual weaving. Could you reset/default mine to 'no weaving' too? Must say though it's a great enhancement and after seeing so many posts (and receiving so many emails) on 'how to insert photo's' I imagine this will be a godsend to many. Great work.. thumbsup.png

Hi Lucky, I liked the old thumbnail header but I think having all the photos show up at the end is a great feature. At least this way, a guest reader knows exactly what's in that particular entry. Like I said, I'm just going to use auto weave from now on, it's great. But I can go back and "unweave" all my entries where I weaved photos in manually if it's a probalem for you guys to fix my account. Let me know as I have free computer access at the moment ....

One last thing... I hit the reply button at the bottom of the of the screen instead of the top this time.... and I didn't know where to type... I had to delete all the stuff I wrote in my original post and then the text of your reply and now I'm typing in the space I just "cleaned". I am assuming what I'm typing now will show up. This forum just seems wierd to negotiate... from a 10 year Lonely Planet Thorntree user, I think I'll just continue to stay over there to post my travel questions and give advice about where I've been and come here when i have a tech issue. Thanks for listening.....

Jeff

Ok, you're best option is to remove the photos you've weaved in yourself.

Thanks for the feedback!
