I have the strangest cat ever - she doesn't like the fire!!

Any cat I've ever known sprawls out in front of the fire and hogs it.... she won't go near it!

I only like the winter for it's clothing. The cold part sucks.

Mmmm, mashed spuds - love em!! They go well with the cider and onion gravy I make! IPB Image

Forget mashed potatoes. How about some yummy mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar!!! MMMM!! There's another thing I love about winter, winter food! Especially squash and yams.

I'm with ya on the sweet potatoes and squashes (butternut squash - yum!), but mashed sweet potato with brown sugar? Thats not sounding good!!

Ohhh, you have to try it! Not tons of sugar though, just enough to sweeten it up a bit. And a dollop of butter too. It's pretty classic over here.

It's soooooooooo sweet, and totally retro. It's one of those typical 1950s housewife things, like a Jell-O mold.
