I wonder why would you like to carry one in the first place.

However I believe that you can put it in your suitcase when you fly, instead of carrying it.
But still, why do you need such thing? no.gif

I carry it at home and feel safe when alone, in an unfamiliar area or at night. I've never had to use it. I will check it on a flight, but will leave it at home if it is not legal.

No, I did not mean you have to check it. Just put it in the luggage but not in your handbag, but don't say anything, and don't check it on the flight you are having.
Otherwise I am sure they will not allow you to carry it along.
Just have it in the suitcase which will go up the plane.
Let's see what other members will tell you.

As Popi says, I don't really see why you would need pepper spray in Europe. Most restaurants will have pepper on the table, unless of course you prefer sprayed pepper to ground pepper.

What countries are you going to?

It doesn't look like it: http://www.code3tactical.com/pepper-spray-oc-spray.aspx

You won't need it anyway, Europe is pretty safe, except for pickpockets.

Woah! How often did you encounter a pick pocket?
And if you encounter a lot where should I put my wallett when I leave to go to Europe? Certainly not in my pocket.

Ask Popi! She just had someone cut open her purse in Athens!

I heard it was pretty bad in Spain too.

That depends on which countries you visit, as each country will have their own seprate laws concerning things like this.

In Russia it is legal according to a few sites I have been able to verify. But I suggest you not take it in the plane, it can explode and once they discover it came from your luggage, you can be arrested.

Go there once and from there you can order online that will ship to you in Russia.

But as someone said, Russia is far safer than most American cities! So enjoy!
