I will be in Saigon from 1-22-12 until 1-26-12 at the end of a tour through Cambodia and the Mekong river cruise from Siem Reap to Saigon. I would like to stay on a few days and go somewhere outside of Saigon. Mid Price Range. Any suggestions or is this holiday making it really difficult? Beaches OK, interesting historic sites OK. Open to anything. Single senior female. Experienced traveler.

If in Saigon you can visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a location typical of the Vietnam War, about tour, facilities, hotels and transportation, you can book at the tourist office in Saigon, because of competition should be easy and inexpensive. A number of offices at 230 De Tham street, district 1, SG City.

In December, the weather in Saigon is so hot, so i think u can go to the beach. Vietnam has many beautiful beaches such as: Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Con Dao Island or Phu Quoc Island.

And December 22th - 26th is not the Lunar New year in Vietnam. The Lunar new year 2012 is Jannuary 24th , 2012.
