Nominate me as a Local Expert

I'm hoping someone can give me some good advice..... My husband, 19 year old daughter and myself are heading to Paris on 7/9/09 for 3 weeks with intention of heading down into Italy.... He is a lover of Motorhomes after having 3 fantastic holidays in NZ doing it that way he wants to do France and Italy in one. I'm not so sure..... don't know anything about driving or why you can pull off and stay overnight or whether there is another economical way of doing it. Teenage daughter is short on the finances and so this is a vital issue....
Can anyone help with GREAT advice... Thanks !!

Hello! Welcome to the forums. smile.gif

I have not done the camping thing in France, but I know it's quite popular. There are over 10,000 campsites in the country. Take a look here:

Good luck, and have a wonderful time!

I know that Switzerland, which is right in the area of both, has a lot of beautiful outdoorsy areas that would be PERFECT for camping! May want to at least make a stop on the way and check it out. I've been to Interlaken and it was beautiful!
