Well done whichever mod zapped that Contiki spammer party.gif

Christian, my housemate has just come back from Croatia and Bosnia. It was not quite as cheap as she imagined - she said beer was quite pricey - but I imagine if you avoid the tourist areas you'd be able to live quite cheaply still. She reported that she felt as safe as anywhere she'd been in Europe, and that the sights were beautiful. Might be worth a look?

And in case you're wondering, no, we don't all work for the "former Yugoslavia tourist board" smile.gif

Hello, saw your entry about your housemate going to Bosnia and Croatia...did she go to Sarajevo? My husband and I are going to Croatia for 8 days and have five left in our plans and trying to decide where to spend the rest of the five days. We fly back out of Dubrovnik so have to go back that way...thanks, Ann

Well if u are coming back out of Dubrovnik, it would be easier to go to Bosnia. I have done the same, first go to Mostar, with stop in Pocitelj (it is on the way to Mostar, little place- just beautiful). Mostar is increadible beautiful in my opinion-but could be very warm-so be prepared.Anyway, there are lots of caffes and restaurants near river in the old part of town. Bosnia is cheaper than Croatia, thou. After Mostar, our next destination was 2 hous drive, Sarajevo-I believe you heard lots about. Anyway, I really like food and caffe and people are also very friendly. My experinece was more than positive-hope this helps you. Cheers, Mary

Edit by stevejames: Please do not spam our forums. Thank you.

i totally agree with you, the cultures great! the dancing, food (chevaps are the best), everything! its very scenic as well. i have always loved their candy, especially kras popping chocolate, cedevita, and kikis. so ya everything there is awesome, and i strongly recommed doing a cruise off the coast, to the islands.
