Hi there,

I've uploaded a video and it is distorted because it was squeezed into the standard picture frame.

What are the dimensions a video should have so that it does not get distorted?

Thanks a lot :-)

The video shouldn't get distorted, although we are always looking for cases where this could happen. Could you post a link to the distorted video, or send it to support@travelpod.com?
Thanks,
Fraser

Here you go. It's the third in the gallery

I assume I have to export the video from iMovie in a specific format, so that it does not get distorted?

I see what you're saying. I'm not sure why the video is not being automatically resized to fit the frame. What format are you currently using to upload? Is there any way you could send the original file to support@travelpod.com so we could analyze the upload process from here? Either that or could you place the original file in a location where we could download it (such as Dropbox)?

I used iMovie and exported to Quicktime movie as MPEG-4 Video, Linear PCM. I think in the dimension settings it was DV-PAL 720x576 16:9
What format should I use?

The video player is going to be using a 4:3 aspect ratio, so maybe you could export in 4:3 but either crop or letterbox at export time?
