Hey,

I recently subscribed to my friend's journal but I've not received any updates yet, despite the fact that he's published four new entries? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Rich

Hiya

Maybe your friend has forgotten to send the update email out upon finishing his entry?

If not, someone will hopefully be along soon who can look for you.

Hi,

Although you can subscribe to your friend's blog, they do have the option of not sending out a notification when they have finished creating an entry. They can also decide to send the notification only to certain people.

Another possibility is that the security settings in your browser or firewall may be set to *High* and the notification could end up in your junk, spam or deleted folders. This is what I would check first. After that I awould ask your frined if he has included you in any notifications he has sent out.

Once you eliminate all those possibilities, if you are still not getting the notifications, let me know and I will investigate further.

You can contact me directly at support@travelpod.com

Cheers!

Jacques

Thanks for the reply.

I think I was confused, thinking that I automatically got sent an email as soon as he clicks publish. I didn't think he had the ability to stop me from getting the emails.

So by "subscribing" to someone's blog, what does that actually do?

Thanks again. smile.gif

It means you will be on his/her list of subscribers.

When he/she chooses to notify the people on his list and send a notification, you should be notified, unless he/she purposely unchecks your name from the list every time he/she sends out a notification.
