Has anyone tried this?

It looks like great fun! I'd do it.

Yeh I did it on the north island of NZ. You can do it all over the world now, including (last I heard) Ireland and Thailand. It's great fun. There are two types: Dry Zorbing and Wet Zorbing.

Dry is when you're actually strapped in to the ball and spin with it as you go down the hill.

I did the Wet. They put some slippery water in the ball and as the ball rolls it feels like you're on a waterslide. I did it with a mate of mine so the two of us were in it bouncing around and giggling the whole time.

I saw it on a BBC advert last night so I assume you can do it in the UK now as well.

The wet is by far more fun, and the hysterics are painful..

It would also hide the fact that you had pissed yourself laughing on the way down which is a bonus biggrin.gif

It's been done. They used to let you go free if you did it naked but too many people were doing it.

No not really. But when they pop out it's like they've just been born - all slippery and naked and dizzy.

It's true. It's a bit like a washing machine. I saw people sort of gushing and plopping out, almost as if they were being naturally delivered..

Sounds very unappealing when you put it that way. Maybe I will pass.

Did it hurt at all? What if you hit a bump or rock or something?

Nah, it's like a huge bounding inflatable rubber ball thing. The only way of getting hurt is by bones crashing in to soft places as you tumble around violently with your slippery Zorbing partner..

Ok. I am in. But I think I would like to go at it alone because broken bones just don't do it for me.

Broken bones don't happen. It's more of a slippery slidy 'introduction' of two peoples..

Quite the "getting to you know you" meeting if it were with a stranger, no?

Oh yes, but that's all the fun. You just have to time it wisely. I don't have such luck..
