Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 17-May 10 Member No.: 1004231	We are taking a Caribbean cruise, and have read on past cruise passenger's comments that Samana has a lot of poverty, and therefore is a dangerous port. They advise that if one is not booked on a cruise tour, it is best to stay on board the ship instead of venturing on your own, especially if travelling with kids. How true is this?
