I have a free plane ticket to anywhere in Europe this coming December. I have 6 days and will be traveling from LA. I have already been to London, Barcelona, and Paris. I would like to travel somewhere different. I am up for any adventure. I have a small budget, so I assume Italy is out of the question. Where do you recommend I go? What should I do while I am there?

I am not a fan of hostels, but I don't require the Four Seasons.

Why don't you choose Athens? I am sure you will find a budget hotel.You cannot consider yourself viting other countries and not visit Greece! The climate is mild, and you will love it.

See photos from Athens from my entries. And there is always an alternative. While in Athens with very little money you can visit Aegina island which is beautiful, or Syros. I thinik the time for you to visit Greece has come my friend.

on a small budget you should forget most of central europe. You should consider eastern and southern europe. I'd personally recommend Portugal. go up north if you want cooler weather or anywhere around or bellow lisbon for nice hot weather (at least up to november). Otherwise consider croatia, greece/cyprus, czech republic, poland etc.

Anywhere inland will be freezing at that time, so maybe somewhere coastal in southern/eastern europe - greece/turkey/cyprus, somewhere like that?
