hi, we took a cruise from Venice to Rio. Was two segments Venice-Lisbon then Lisbon-Rio and a lot of people joined in Lisbon. Went to Cadiz, Casablanca, Dakar, Recife, Salvador beofre finishing in Rio. Was on Holland America ship called Rotterdam. No idea about getting a job, you'd have to contact the cruise line I'd suppose, or if you are looking more for a cargo ship instead of a cruise ship.
cheers

Sounds like a nice cruise.

Yeah, I'd find out which boats travel that route, and what kind of boats/ships they are and start from there. Good luck!

My girlfriends brother is about to go on a transatlantic cross in a 18th century boat from the canary islands to salvador.

There's a company who does all sorts of crossings, including one from the canaries all the way to ushuaia, stoping at salvador. I'll get him to give me the link for their website and i'll post it here.

It's a work and sail thing, if that's what you're looking for I hope this helps!
