Hi friends,
I´m planning a trip to Europe and I´d like to know if there´s a bus line between Vienna and Feldkirch. I know there´s a train, but I think the bus could be cheaper.

Thanks, Starla.... actually I want to go to Liechtenstein by Feldkirch! I looked at the website of Austria Railway, but the tickets from Vienna are bit expensive, I think the bus could be cheaper. I´ll keep trying to know about.

Alright, at least you know how to get OUT of Feldkirch by bus...hehehe...

Of course, I´ll tell you... I sent an e-mail to Austria Tourism Office, let´s see what they say.
I´m building the plan trip, when it´s done I´ll put here.

There aren´t buses...look their answer...

Where there is a train connection there aren’t any busses. There are definitely no busses that connect Vienna with Feldkirch. So the only possibility is the train. The timetables can be checked at the official website of the Austrian National Railways www.oebb.at/en.

Oh my. I was hoping there would be a bus connection too. I'm planning to go to Austria too this June.

I thuoght the views of Austria would be best viewed via the bus. Sigh....

The way I got around the prohibitively expensive train rides in Austria is with the help of this amazing site called http://www.mitfahrgelegenheit.de.

It essentially lets you search for any lifts (german=mitfahrgelegenheit) that users have posted - there are truck drivers posting cheap rides all the way down to Italy and back.

I just searched for trips between Vienna and Feldkirch and there are more than 2 pages of results with the cheapest offer starting at Euro 6!

The only problem is that the site is in German and some grasp of the language would be helpful...otherwise it really is the cheapest - and most fun - way to get around Europe.
