"Sick of restaurants that promise something different but don't deliver? Well this hospital-themed eatery could be the cure. Dishes like salted herring fillet, crunchy potato pancakes and grilled pork steak can be eaten in an operating theatre, gynaecology room or dental surgery, as you tuck in with surgical instruments and sip cocktails from test tubes!"

I saw this in the Ryanair magazine and had to share it! In a strange way...I want to go to the Hospitalis, Latvia for my dinner!

Has anyone been?

Sounds similar to The Clinic in Singapore, where you sit in wheelchairs, or on hospital beds and drink from test tubes and saline bags....and booths are sectioned off with thos old fashioned hospital dividers....and it's EXPENSIVE!

Did you eat there? In Singapore?

This one in Latvia seems quite cheap - I think the ad said 21 for two courses and a drink - I'm comparing that to Dublin prices...!

I don't recall food being served, just drinks from test tubes, saline bags and syringes!

A cocktail saline bag was something like $50!

Hee hee...I'm not sure I'd like to eat in an NHS hospital...

...although it could make for an interesting 'waiting room'

Oh! I didn't realize this was in Latvia when I read about it earlier this year! I was in Riga a few months ago, I would have gone here if I knew it was there! Sounds like a fun concept.
