Nassau is well know for beautiful beaches, clear water, vibrant markets and lots of great historical attractions too.

That picture reminds me of my old neighbourhood, lol!

Also some slightly more touristy Nassau activities are swimming with dolphins and gawking at the Atlantis Hotel on exceptionally touristy Paradise Island.. but nothing quite beats getting a boat and jetting from island to island. There's over 700 of them and New Providence [the name of the island Nassau is on] is very central, you'll always end up somewhere!

It was a LONG time ago but I used to live in Sandyport, just outside of downtown

If you have an extra 2 days.... take fast ferry to Harbour Island, spend overnight there, rent a golf cart to go around and come back the following day. There is a day tour but that's too short to explore the island.

Food is a bit more expensive though, but hey, you'll get to experience the real Bahamas there.

I wanted to go to Nassau ever since I saw Thunderball - for no reason but just to say "I did".

Actually, I'd like to operate a "Travel in the steps of James Bond" tour - do something really fun and elegant, maybe a murder mystery tour going to locations around the globe finding clues as well as touring.
