Hi

Please can someone give me a rough idea how long it will take to travel from my International flight to my internal flight?

My flight with Singapore Airlines lands at 11.10am at Terminal M in Kuala Lumpur. I want to book a Internal flight with Air Asia that departs at 13.35pm from Kuala Lumpur. Do you think I will make the flight or am I pushing it a little?
I have tried to get a site map of the airport to see if I need to get a shuttle for my internal flight but no luck so if anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Beck

G'day becky

I have found a map for you and with nearly 2 and a half hours you should make the connection provided your original flight leaves on time and if u have booked your luggage thru to the other end including the transit flight with air asia if not then u would still have at least an hour depending on how long it takes to clear customs and immigration. the connection is by a train service as shown per map hope this helps cheers stewart

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your replies.
I really want to try and make this flight as would prefer to get to my Island destination sooner rather than later.
So far it has been 50/50 on whethere I will make it. A lot say I need at least two hours but, I have 2.25hours. I think providing my plane with Singapore Air lands on time at 11.10am, then I should hopefully make it.

Stewart, thank you for the helpful map. My luggage won't be pre-booked on with Air Asia so I will have to check that in my self (I didn't know I could do this as flying with Singapore and they are another flight carrier).
Do you think that the train will be quicker than a taxi? I think the train runs every 15 mins and takes 20 mins. Providing it is there in good time, maybe it would be the quicker option.
From my experience flying with Air Asia, they say that the check-in desk closes one hour before flight, so in my case 12.35pm but, when I flew with them from Manila to Pureto Princesa, I checked it in with half hour to take off and I was very lucky that my air asia flight was delayed (in my experience flying with Air Asia they are usually delayed!).
If I do run a little late then hopefully Air Asia to Kota Bharu will be delayed and I will have a little more time on my hands!

I think I am going to risk it! If I miss my internal flight, I am losing out on 15.00 GBP and can catch a later flight or stay in K.L.

Thanks everyone for your help,
Wish my luck!
Becky

G'day Becky if you enlarge the map where it says HERE you will see that the aero train leaves every 3 minutes and takes 3 minutes to get from one terminal to the other takes so a taxi would not be worth it and if it only cost you 15GBP then yes a lost flight is not a big thing just the annoyance of having to wait for the next flight, and have a fantastic trip.

Cheers Stewart

Thanks Stewart for the information of how quick transit is between terminals, I didn't realise!

I am pleased to say, I have booked my internal flight to Kota Bharu. I am sure I will make it with the quick 3 min transit time! Very useful to know so thank you!
If I don't, se le via. I will get on the next flight or spend a night in K.L.
Thanks for your help!
