Hi

Me and my friend have just decided that we are going to go to Berlin in Germany in March.. Gonna stay 3 night will cost £178 each for the flights from england and 3 nights accomodation which i thought was really good. I was wondering if anyone knew how much going out is over there?

How much is a pint?

An average meal?

taxis from the airport to central Berlin?

Many thanks in advance.

Hey Luke smile.gif

I found a pretty good link from the Sydney Morning Herald that answers your questions perfectly!

Berlin - Money

Prices are in Euro unless specified.

WorldGuide Index Price
Item: Glass of beer Price: 2.50
Item: one day public transport ticket Price: 5.80
Item: cup of coffee Price: 1.80
Item: tabloid newspaper Price: 0.80
Item: one currywurst Price: 2.00
Item: midweek cinema ticket Price: 6.50
Item: one caipirinha Price: 5.00
Item: nightclub entry Price: 8.00
Item: doner kebab Price: 2.50

The public transportation is good in Berlin, and as you can see...it can save you some $$ over taking taxis! (My husband and I took the bus from the airport...ask the guy at the kiosk by the door where the taxis and busses are and he'll tell you exactly what bus to take and which stop to get off at).

Have fun!

Yup, Berlin is happily cheaper than most of Western Europe. And definitely take public transport from the airport - if you can navigate the tube you'll be laughing on the S-Bahn.
