Hi there ! I was wondering if it is possible to change user id ?

If not, can i create another id and delete my current account ?

No it's not possible to change your user ID. If you would like, you can create a new account and email us your old user ID and password so that we can delete your old account.

Hi, just wondering whether the status on this has changed.

My girlfriend and I want combine our blogs into one by renaming her profile and then re-creating my blogs under the renamed (and joint) user ID.

Hi,

There has been no change on this. UserId's cannot be changed at the present time but we are currently developing that feature.

In the meantime what you can do is create a new UserId and transfer all your data to the new one. Once that is done just ask me to delete the original one and I will do that for you.

Just remember to change you email address in your original UserID to a fake one, before you proceed, because the system allows only one UserId per email address.

I can tell you that we get enough of these request that being able to change your UserId is a feature that will definitively be developped....When is the only question.

We have so many other requests for updates and we are plowing through them as fast as we can.

The only way to do that is to create the entries in your new blog and then copy and paste the data to the new entries. The same for the pictures. You have to copy them one at a time and paste them into your new photo album.

Because it's not too hard to do it with our intervention it's not at the top of our list but it is on it. You cannot imagine all the suggestions we get from members and sometimes we have to just push some down the list as we keep getting good ones......but it has not been forgotten, it will get done!

Can't a DB Adminstrator/SQL Developer simply run an update query to change the username across all DB tables?

Until they have such a function, what is so bad about creating a new account? It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do.
