I tried to search by means of GoogleMaps, but is ineffectual. The ferry went from Turku. The picture is made 20 minutes prior to arrival in port of Stockholm. In a picture the building North side is visible. That's all that I remember

Have you tried looking for it using GoogleEarth? I just spent a bit of time but without knowing what ferry dock you took the pic from, it was a bit hard. Hopefully, someone will have posted a pic with the name of the castle. This might be worth a try.
