You CAN do the Salt Flats on a day trip from Uyuni. It departs at 10:30 and returns at 18:00. Cool! I didn't know that was possible! Thanks

... for the salt flats , none of them are reputable anyway, there are all pretty much the same, same cars, same drivers, same food and hostels, same routes.. just have a short 30 minute walk around Uyuni as its small and interesting and pop into the tour shops

Chile / Bolivia border crossings
