Well yeah... Paris and ski chalet and Venice and the bahamas all seem to have their "cliches" But for Australia and Ireland, I can't think of what it is.

I've never been to Jamaica, but I don't think the Bahamas is THAT touristy. It depends on what part of the island you are on, definitely.

... hehehe. I personally LOVE Puerto Rico, St. Vincent, the Cayman Islands and Trinidad. They're all so unique and fun in their own way. St. Lucia, Grenada and BVI and USVI are all nice too. Not too fond of Jamaica nor the Bahamas though.. very touristy

Yeah... very very brief... but I would argue that you don't even get a very good taste of a place, because it is only the four block radius that they cleaned up for the cruise people... At least, that's what I found in St. Martin/Bahamas.

You could do a cruise and see more islands, but would probably have less of the bar/club party atmosphere at night. I think Bahamas would be good if you just picked one, primarily due to the fact that there are dozens of islands within range of each ...

... train was pretty good. I love the subways in Toronto, Montreal and New York... I also love the jitneys in the Bahamas and St. Martin... no schedules or organization but it works just fine. Worst public transportation.... I can't think of anyplace ...

... Key West to Havana, so it's a hop, skip and a jump for us here in South Florida. The first organizations to enter after the travel restrictions are lifted will be the cruise lines. The Bahamas will suffer as they will all replace Nassau with Havana.
