... islands (liveaboard meaning you stay on the boat for 4 days). It is undisputed that the similans are the best diving in thailand but this also means its a little more pricey. for 4 days........aircon room on boat.....all your food and 14 dives......... ...

... it better to take a bus+ferry / cab+ferry hire from the airport? Also it would be great if any of you can tell me what will be the approximate cost of this transfer?? Planning to stay at Chaweng in Koh Samui. Eagerly waiting for your advices!!

... great to hear. It's my note for the next trip. Trekking with your group sounds like a great opportunity Lunthom more than 10 hrs for Train BKK-Surat. all beaches at Samui is good, Chaweng is popular and many hotels luxury. For me Lamai is good.

Ko Samet?

... down to Ko Samui for three nights, so we won't be hitting Ko Samet after all. Now I'm in the middle of trying to line up accommodation there. Can't decide whether staying on much-praised Chaweng is worth all the noise and the development.

yes, Chaweng beach is fun if you like many people on the other hand Lamai and Thong Nai Paan beach are calm and good to relax.
