Progress on new road from Dodoma to Mwanza

Does anyone know if any progress has been made on the new tar road from Dodoma to Mwanza which has been under construction for several years. Work was still underway when we travelled the route last August.

... I took a look at some of the top results, but I don't see anything that goes from Tanzania to Uganda, but I found this blog about a ferry from Mwanza to Bukoba. Hope that helps. Go through some of the other search results and see what you find.
