I wrote to the tour company and got a reply! The name of the temple is: "Chi-Fu Temple", and the address is: No. 1, Alley 14, Lane 608, Bei-An Road, Chung Shan District, Taipei, Taiwan. Great! It's an awesome place

... 39;s 4 hours from Hualien to Kaohsiung. Yilan to Taichung might be a bit shorter...perhaps 4 hours. If you take the high speed rail from Taipei though your travel time decreases a lot. It's 1.5 hours from Taipei to Kaohsiung. Hope this helped!
