Anyone going to Sri Lanka should include a visit to Sigiriya Rock - it really isn't too difficult to climb, and the view from the top on a clear day is absolutely amazing, but make sure you take your camera with you, as its a long way back down! ...

... would stay very long. Most people would get on the first bus/train to Kandy. I watched Around the World in 80 Treasures (BBC programme) and Sigiriya looked quite amazing. I've met a load of people who went to Sri Lanka and they all raved about it.

Hi, As far as I can see,you are missing the following. 1.The elephant orphanage at Pinnawala 2.The ruins of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. 3.Sigiriya Rock.
