Hi I will be travelling to Sri Lanka in September 2008 and as I will only be staying for a short period I wondered if anyone had any "Must See" places to reccommend. I will be staying in Columbo for 1 night then to Dambulla for 3 nights, Kandy ...

... 't touch with the elephants there as they are a semi wild herd. If you visit the best times are between 10-12 or 2-4 as thats when the elephants are in the river. Kandy is far busier and built up than the guide books indicate but still worth a visit
