... as a reason for me not to ever fly Qatar airlines again since my previous experiences to date have been quite positive. I would have had to buy a visa whereas Qatar normally can get this requirement waived if they put the person up in a hotel.

Wow I am surprised that this has happened as Qatar have a 5* reputation (in the region at least) and this is the first I have heard of something going so wrong with their service.

I like that website. Check out qatar airways pictures, their first class offers a 10 course meal or something insane like that. I kind of want to work for them just so I can take their first class.
