... recommend? The train arrives into Auckland at about 7.20pm, so would like not to have to travel too far to get to the hostel, on my own, at that time of the evening. The next morning I'll be getting the bus to Paihia, so I'll only need one night.

... oh boy thats awful Three good spots such as in the Marlborogh Sounds at Picton, Akaroa has the Hector dolphin, the Bay of islands in the Far North out of Paihia.......I think there are more available but these three are the ones I know of.............
