1. Holland is not the Netherlands, but its a region in the Netherlands (so its a less big territorium than the whole of Netherlands). But a lot of people says 'Holland' when meaning 'The Netherlands', even the Dutch do it sometimes, ...

Yeah, that was the one. I think I was just unlucky! The Netherlands is a very safe country in my experience, and from having seen this, I'd say the cops swoop so fast, that it's why the crime rate is perhaps so low. Good on them!
