How long of a tour wold you consider? Hiring a car is minimum $40US so not too cheap but tours seem to be fairly expensive too, at backpacker-geared tours running around $150- per day. Roads appear to be quite excellent from what I've read ...

drove around namibia for 2 weeks, from windhoek to the fish river canyon and then to swakopmund then to etosia, beautifull country, can not wait to return again for longer

I'd add a visit to cheetah park to that list. I love namibia. It's so sparsely populated and inbetween looks desolate but yet its so stunning and makes you look out in awe at all the space. Makes me want to run around!

Not many people I know have travelled to Namibia. The country receives about 850,000 tourists per year. This writer went, and raves about the unspoiled nature of the desert and wildlife parks.

I have come to know recently that Namibia attracts eco-tourists a lot. Many people visit there to experience the diverse climates and natural geographical. So IMO you should choose Namibia.

If I were you I'd prefer Namibia. I'd be soo excited getting "lost" in the unspoilt bushes (perhaps interacting with the bushmen). And being a Ecotourist am certain you'll have better days in Namibia than in Mozambique. But wherever ...
