Some great advice here for you already. I agree that either option would be spectacular, personally I would do Mozambique if your kids are happy with a beach type holiday, the Bazaruto archipelago (previously mentioned) is fantastic but some pricey lodges ...

... living as they have for thousands of years, despite the temptations of modern living. You can't get closer to nature than that. Namibia is the place to really rough it. Whereas Mozambique is a posh vacation resort. You might as well go to Cancun.
