Flying into KL any Reccomendations

Perhentian islands is a must must see. Melaka is another must see- great history and amazing food. Head there on a weekend where it has a night market and bizarre karaoke stage. The whole of Malaysia is awesome, travel by Bus is really very easy cheap ...

I'm afraid Perhentian islands are particularly remote. Your best bet is to try to get an overnight sleeper train from Butterworth and try to get a bus to arrive there near time of train departure- this will still probably result in maybe 24-36 hours ...

hi - I have had very good reports on Perhentian islands - up on the North East coast of Malaysia - diving with turtles etc. It is high on my list of places to go - might well be worth checking it out if you get time.
