Don't think it's possible, from memory think you'll have to take bus from penang to KL then bus from KL to pangkor. So it's likely to take you 2 days due to times the buses run.

... A lot of people like the east coast because of the resorts, but you might want to check out the west coast. Going south there is Port Dickson and Malacca or going north there is Ipoh and Penang which is great. Be sure to try the nonya food!

I entirely agree with you. I only did that once. But a couple of times went up the west coast to Ipoh and Penang, and as you say it was amazing
